The Centre d’études ethniques des universités montréalaises / Centre for Ethnic Studies (CEETUM) will hold its 20th Colloquium for students and recent graduates, the 21st, 22nd and 23th of March 2018, at the University of Montreal. The deadline to submit an individual or panel proposal is November 20th 2017. For more information and to download the submission form and guidelines, please visit the CEETUM website.

10th QICSS New Researchers Conference

Graduate students, post-doctoral researchers and recent graduates conducting (or having conducted) research at the QICSS are invited to submit a proposal for a presentation examining various approaches (data sources, quantitative methods, statistical models) used to shed light on a wide range of social issues. The theme of this year's conference is Against “Alternative Facts”: The importance of detailed microdata. The deadline to submit a proposal is March 6, 2017. Click here for all the details.

Call for proposals : 85th Acfas annual conference

The Association francophone pour le savoir, the Association des démographes du Québec and the Quebec inter-University Centre for Social Statistic are pleased to invite you to submit proposals on "L’apport du longitudinal dans l’analyse des inégalités". The colloquium is part of the 85th Acfas conference and will be held on May 10-11, 2017 at McGill University. The deadline to submit a proposal is February 10, 2017.

The Centre d’études ethniques des universités montréalaises / Center for Ethnic Studies (CEETUM) is holding its 19th Colloquium for Students and Recent Graduates from February 22nd to 24th, 2017 at the University of Montreal (Quebec, Canada). We invite graduate and postgraduate students as well as recent graduates whose research examines issues related to ethnicity to participate. This annual international colloquium is attended each year by close to a hundred participants. Click here for more details.

8th Méthodes quantitatives et sciences humaines (MQSH) conference - Call for proposals

Dans les dernières années, de multiples développements ont été faits au regard de nouvelles méthodes d’analyse de données quantitatives en sciences humaines ou de l’amélioration d’anciennes. Les défis rencontrés en ce qui a trait à leur application à des problèmes concrets, à leur enseignement ainsi qu’aux calculs qui leur sont associés demeurent nombreux. Dans le but de créer un lieu de discussion et de promotion de ces méthodes d’analyse, le colloque sur les méthodes quantitatives et sciences humaines (MQSH) a été mis sur pied en 2009 à Trois-Rivières. Il s’agit d’une activité scientifique multidisciplinaire ayant pour objectif de réunir des chercheurs et des étudiants provenant des différentes sphères des sciences humaines et d’offrir un environnement propice aux échanges.
