Institut de la statistique du Québec Data
The microdata files of the Institut de la statistique du Québec surveys are available at the QICSS, in its CADRISQ laboratory located at Université de Montréal. CADRISQ currently has about sixty unmasked microdata surveys, which are on health and well-being, society, culture and communications, and labour and compensation. Depending on anticipated research needs and individual requests, microdata files from other surveys are added on occasion. The microdata files may be used according to the terms of the contracts entered into between the Institut and researchers.
QICSS offers assistance with preparation of proposals. For further details, please contact the CADRISQ coordinator ([email protected] or 514-343-2299) or consult the following section of the CADRISQ website.
Briefly, the access procedure to the Institut de la statistique du Québec survey microdata involves the following steps:
- The researcher must fill out a form (Annexe A).
- This form is returned to CADRISQ by email ([email protected]), accompanied by the curriculum vitae of each researcher associated with the project.
- The application is then assessed by an ISQ review committee.
- If the project is accepted, the researcher must sign a contract and a data confidentiality agreement.
The entire process can take from 4 to 6 weeks.
