Using Survey of Financing and Growth of Small and Medium Enterprises data for Economic Research in the RDCs

Statistic Canada is launching the second pilot to improve access to business microdata in Research Data Centres located in 29 universities across Canada. This presentation will introduce this pilot program using the 2014 Survey of Financing and Growth of Small and Medium Enterprises linked to administrative data. It will provide a description of the dataset, methodology and application process to access the data.

Amélie Lafrance-Cooke, Economic Analyst – Canadian Centre for Data Development and Economic Research (CDER), Economic Analysis Division. Amélie holds M.A. in economics from Queen’s University. She has worked in the Canadian federal public service for over a decade, including Statistics Canada and Finance Canada. Amélie’s research has focused on productivity and business dynamics, housing, income security and wealth accumulation.
