10th QICSS New Researchers Conference

Against “Alternative Facts”:
The importance of detailed microdata

Friday, April 21, 2017
Université de Sherbrooke
Campus de Longueuil

In this era of "alternative facts", "post-truth" and "false news", it is more important than ever to support research using accessible, reliable and accurate data. Detailed microdata is essential to the evaluation and implementation of social, educational, economic and health policies free of bias.

It is in this context that we invite you to the 10th edition of the QICSS New Researchers Conference. The day will be an opportunity to highlight the potential of detailed microdata, which allow us to take an informed look at delicate social topics and thus fight "alternative facts".
